Perth Floral Art Club’s April meeting was filled with a wonderfully happy atmosphere. Perhaps it was the feeling of spring in the air, the change to a Tuesday evening, or our lovely new setting in the recently refurbished Dunbarney Church at Bridge of Earn. But truly, the joy of the evening came from our fantastic demonstrator, Cherie King, all the way from Ireland.
With her engaging demonstration, The Last of the Summer Wine, Cherie brought creativity and laughter in equal measure—complete with an abundance of empty wine bottles! Despite an early start and a long journey, she was in top form and had everyone thoroughly entertained. Drawing on her life as a farmer, Cherie shared humorous stories about juggling her travels around lambing season, calving, and even pygmy goats giving birth, leaving members in stitches.
Cherie created a series of beautiful arrangements, inspiring us all with her talent and enthusiasm. It was truly a super evening. We send our heartfelt thanks to Cherie, wish her a wonderful trip to Australia, and look forward to welcoming her back to Perth, Scotland again soon—haste ye back!
We also extend our sincere thanks to RWE Lochelbank Windfarm Micro-grant for their generous sponsorship, which helped make the evening possible.
