Enjoy family and adult floral workshops, a ‘Music and Flowers’ afternoon with a headline event – a talk and demonstration by the King’s florist Shane Connolly MBE. He will be demonstrating how to arrange Scottish grown blooms without using floral foam and single use plastic.
Entry to the Cathedral during the festival is by donation and ticketed events can be bought on Eventbrite.

Create a floral display
An invitation is extended to members to make a floral display for the festival.
This event is for the wider community and including all flower lovers. There is no charge and no theme – just the proviso that only Scottish grown flowers are used and no floral foam is used in the arrangements. Blooms from your own garden or a neighbour are ideal and bring your arrangement to the Cathedral on Thursday 6th August.
If this is not possible then we will have a selection of foliage and flowers from ‘Flowers Grown in Scotland’ available to use on the morning of Thursday 6th August for a small donation.
Please email education@stmachar.com further details.
