After more than 50 years of decorating St John’s Kirk and other venues across Perth for the Perth Festival of the Arts, Perth Floral Art Club marked a new chapter this year. It was agreed that Perth Flower Club would join the Festival with a special flower demonstration and musical evening.
And so Amplifying Blooms was born.
Featuring the highly talented floral demonstrator Games Gemmell alongside the equally accomplished pianist Michael Ellacott, the event proved to be a resounding success. Tickets sold out quickly, and enthusiasm carried through to the raffle, with many guests eager to take home a piece of the evening.
The night was a delightful blend of flowers, music, and laughter. Games and Michael shared a natural rapport, engaging warmly with each other and the audience, creating an atmosphere that was both entertaining and memorable. Several lucky attendees left with stunning floral arrangements, adding an extra touch of joy to the occasion.

The Fair Maid of Perth was reconstructed after being on display in Dunfermline Abbey as part of the 70th anniversary of SAFAS.

2025
The Perth Floral Art Club was again delighted to support the Perth Festival of the Arts this year, which ran from 22nd to 31st May. The Club provided some stunning arrangements to brighten up the various Festival locations, and as you’ll be able to see from the photos below, the ladies really out did themselves this year.
Here, taking a very short break from the hard work, are Janice Sloan, Margo Kettles, Maggie Cork and Jill and Ros Classe.

And below are some of the fabulous arrangements …
